Diocesan Singles Mixer<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

  • For Single adults it is sometimes harder to meet other Catholics for dating<\/li>\n
  • Online Apps are not idea would rather meet other singles in person<\/li>\n
  • Age Group: 21 – 62<\/li>\n
  • Targeting the Diocese for greater potential<\/li>\n
  • Look at coordinating a sponsor<\/li>\n
  • Possibly look at creating a fundraiser from the event<\/li>\n
  • Could also be a means of outreach to bring singles into the Catholic faith<\/li>\n
  • Next steps committee needs to be created to determine interest level<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Bulletin Design<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

      \n
    • People seem a little off-put by having too many QR codes to look up information<\/li>\n
    • People would rather the information was presented up front in the bulletin vs. using a QR code to get the information<\/li>\n
    • Occasionally run out bulletins<\/li>\n
    • An option maybe to provide a summary with ‘need to know’ information and the QR code can link to deeper information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Parish\/Pastoral Council Intro to the Parish<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

      • How do we get the parish to know who the members of pastoral council<\/li>\n
      • Name tags ?<\/li>\n
      • Council can be a contact point to funnel ideas and concerns<\/li>\n
      • Nate to put together a blurb to give out names and our role; announcements, bulletin, website<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Dominican Rosary Mission – 7\/9<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

        • Missionaries are here this week<\/li>\n
        • Rosary<\/li>\n
        • Confession<\/li>\n

          Parish Picnic<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

          • September 14th – 10:00 – 2:00p<\/li>\n
          • Served 300 people last year<\/li>\n
          • A Single Mass 10:00am is scheduled<\/li>\n
          • Knights of Columbus to cook food (Hot Dogs\/Burgers)<\/li>\n
          • Add Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Watermelon, Root beer Float options ?<\/li>\n
          • Need enough food options for food sensitivities<\/li>\n
          • Needs: Games for Kids, Music, Setup\/Teardown, games for adults<\/li>\n
          • Teen\/Adult Games: Bingo, Bag Toss,<\/li>\n
          • Form a small committee of coordinators<\/li>\n
          • Setup would be partially on Saturday and the rest Sunday morning<\/li>\n
          • Ely to work with Erin to setup\/teardown Microphones, PA speakers, Sound System, Electric Piano etc.<\/li>\n
          • Rent tents – we have the tables and chairs<\/li>\n
          • What do we do if it rains\/bad weather?<\/li>\n
          • Padre Pio Relics will be here also during this time in the church Sunday ONLY<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Christmas Bazaar<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

              \n
            • December 7th<\/li>\n
            • Kept on agenda as a reminder to be thinking about it<\/li>\n
            • There is a committee already<\/li>\n
            • Add more games for the little kids; ring toss, mini-basketball hoop,<\/li>\n
            • Last year it felt ‘too simple’ and not enough for the little kids to do<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Pastor Update – We need to update\/verify Parishioner information in Parish Soft<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

              • Best way to do this?<\/li>\n
              • Pastoral Council to brainstorm for next meeting of best way to get people to update\/verify their information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
