Musical Musings from Joy

Thank you to EVERYONE who came up to sing with us for this weekend’s Open Sing. We were thrilled to have you, and are sincerely hoping you’ll consider joining us full-time next fall.
In a couple of weeks, I will be making the trek to Baltimore, Maryland for the National Association of Pastoral Musicians’ (NPM) annual convention. There, I will partake in workshops and other activities relating to the work I do here at Resurrection.

This year, I want to focus my time at the convention on ways I can help our Music Ministry continue to grow and flourish. I will aim to do this by workshop attendance, purchasing of music, discovering new resources, networking, etc.
I need your help! I want to make my attendance at NPM this summer all about YOU! Over the next couple of weeks, I would greatly appreciate it if you could send on any thoughts or ideas to me regarding music and liturgy. What do you want to see here at Resurrection? I will do my best to use all of the national resources at my disposal to make this happen for us!
In the meantime, if you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me!
Hymnal Scavenger Hunt How’d you do with last week’s Hymnal Scavenger Hunt? It was Wherever You Go, found in the red hymnal at #860. Here’s this week’s clue:
This weekend we celebrate John the Baptist. During Advent, we also celebrate him. This song talks about the river he baptized in.
Hint: This song may be found in both hymnals.
