Resurrection Catholic Church in Rochester, MN is seeking a full-time Director of Maintenance who is willing to support and uphold the mission, values, and teachings of the Catholic Church. This position will oversee all the building and grounds operations at Resurrection.

Title: Director of Maintenance (Full-time)

Position Summary
 
  • Provides leadership of the parish in order to achieve and advance the mission of Resurrection including educational and formational activities on matters of Catholic doctrine that facilitate the functioning of the mission of the Roman Catholic Church.
  • Responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds of Resurrection Catholic Church (attending to light maintenance and securing others to get a job done).
  • Assess maintenance issues.
  • Attain estimates for projects; confirm estimates after consultation with the pastor.
  • Propose maintenance plans with vision for fiscal matters and prudence.
  • Regulate Boiler
  • Proficient in operating the Computer system that regulates HVAC throughout the facilities
  • Self motivated; takes initiative to get work done
  • General janitorial work at Resurrection
  • Oversee work of contractors.
  • Responsible for lawn care and snow removal.
  • Assist in setup for all parish and hosted events
  • Any other duties designated by the pastor
The Director of Maintenance is accountable to the Pastor.
Qualifications
Employment in and by the Catholic Church is substantially different from secular employment.  Employees of Catholic Church organizations must conduct themselves in a manner which is consistent with and supportive of the mission, purpose and teachings of the Catholic Church.  Their behavior must not violate the faith, morals, or laws of the Catholic Church, the Diocese of Winona or our parishes and must not embarrass the Church or give rise to scandal.  Prior experience in maintenance work preferred.  And must be an active, participating member of the Catholic Church.
