Confirmation Preparation

Confirmation is the Sacrament in which one is enriched by the gift of the Holy Spirit and bound more perfectly to the Church. Confirmation perfects Baptismal grace; it strengthens us and obliges us to be witnesses to Christ by word and deed and to spread and defend the faith.

Confirmation preparation usually begins in September of a student’s 9th grade year or at age 14. This is a two-year program and is held on Wednesday nights with some weekend retreats.

All candidates must provide proof of baptism or reception into full communion with the Catholic Church. Preparation includes small group faith sharing, retreats, service projects, parish participation, choosing a sponsor, choosing a Confirmation Saint name, and writing a letter to the Bishop.

All student must complete a confirmation application.
